Judge Mrs. Diana Robinson
I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of the club for the opportunity to judge their Open Show. Iwas pleased to see that most people had remembered that it is also a beauty contest, and had groomed the exhibits accordingly. I had a wonderful day, with excellent food, and there was a very relaxed atmosphere amongst both exhibitors and exhibits, so a big thank you to everyone for making it a really special day.
Special Veteran (dog or bitch) (5-1)
1 st Gibson`s Wardana Little Miss Ruffian.
6 year old bitch shown in lovely condition. Dark eyes which give a benevolent expression. Level topline, good bone, nice feet. Just pipped others in her class to the post on her movement.
2 nd McLaughlan`s Melloways Licence To Thrill At Lanleadane.
Nice big boy at just turned 8, in very good condition for an old boy. Good bone on tight feet, lovely head, held his topline. A bit on the heavy side, which he can be forgiven for. After all he is retired. Moved o.k.
3 rd Lyons & Grubb Snowfordhill Winter Star.
Really dark eyes, nice steady mover.At nearly 9 years old, in lovely condition and enjoyed her day.
Minor Puppy Dog (5-1)
1 st Gwilliam`s Coatham Whata Performance.
8 month old puppy. Good spring of rib, nice angulation, ample width of skull for a baby. Level topline,moved well, just needs to settle. B.P.D.
2 nd Gwilliam`s Smooth Actor.
Litter brother to 1. Has all the qualities of his brother, just beaten on movement.
3 rd Eden`s Chedham Life Of Riley.
Just 8 months old. Slightly lighter in bone than 1& 2. Nice head. Moved o.k.
Puppy Dog (5-1)
1 st Gwilliam`s Coatham Whata Performance.
2 nd Gwilliam`s Smooth Actor.
3 rd Muggleton`s Bernmont Teddy Bear.
A 10 month old puppy. Quite pleasing on the eye. A little overwhelmed by the day, needs time.
Junior Dog (3-0)
1 st Schofield`s Chabanou Lord Of Dreams.
Only just out of puppy. Strong head with the darkest of eyes. Correct mouth, good shoulder placement and spring of rib. Excellent bone, tight feet, moved well.
2 nd Muggleton`s Bernmont Teddy Bear.
3 rd Muggleton`s Lanleadane Sir Lancelot Of Bernmont.
Big dog with a good sized skull. Level topline held on the move. Not quite the bone of 1, needs to strengthen on the move.
Novice Dog (4-0)
1 st McLaughlan & Fitzsimmons Lanleadane Ring Of Fire.
Nice boy with strong head and shoulders, ample bone, tight feet, good depth of body. A little curious whenbeing gone over, but he is new to the show scene. Moved well.
2 nd Plunkett`s Kenmillix Copper Pot.
Tall dog with broad skull and muzzle, lovely dark eyes with soft expression. Not as strong on movement as 1.
3 rd White`s Eisenmann He`s The Geezer.
Good topline, correct bite, ample bone, eyes slightly light but healthy and not glaring.
Post Graduate Dog (5-1)
1 st Gibson`s Poolsway Yogi Bear.
Dark faced male with such a happy disposition. Ample bone with good feet, correct tailset, good spring of rib. Moved o.k.
2 nd Holloway`s Eisenmann Zell Em See.
Dark eyes, mouth o.k. narrower in body and lighter in bone than 1. moved o.k.
3 rd Muggleton`s Lanleadane Sir Lancelot Of Bernmont.
Special Post Graduate Smooth Dog. (1-0)
1 st Gwilliam`s Coatham Smooth Actor.
Limit Dog (6-2)
1 st Bell & Jeffries Neobern Dynamic Desmond.
I have liked this boy since he was a puppy. He has a broad skull, defined stop, short wide muzzle, beautiful dark eyes that just melt you. Correct bite, well placed shoulders and correct rear angulation. Presented in tiptop condition. Moves out with drive but not hurried. I would like to take this young fella home with me and I found my B.D. and B.I.S. in him.
2 nd Swain`s Harlsford Hadley.
Another nice boy who presents himself well. He has a mature head with a deep stop. Good front and rear,well off for bone, moved well.
3 rd Bannister`s Banndean Zulu Dancer.
Nice head, good body with adequate bone. Prefered movement of 1 and 2.
Open Dog (3-1)
1 st Lane`s Chandlimore The Challenger With Lanebern.
This young man has improved a lot since he was a youngster. Adequate width and depth to head and muzzle, nice chest, correct rear angulation, held his topline stood and on the move. Neck well muscled.
Moved out well. Worthy R.B.D.
2 nd Muggleton`s Lanleadane Sir Lancelot Of Bernmont.
Special Open Smooth Dog (2-1)
1 st Lane & Nagrecha`s Abbotsbury Volcano With Chandlimore.
Tall smooth dog, a little light in bone. Adequate body, lovely dark eye, pleasing head, a bit erratic on the move.
Minor Puppy Bitch (2-1)
1 st Gwilliam`s Coatham Smooth Actress.
Lovely 8 month old smooth baby. Well presented and handled well,nice head with good depth and defined stop. Ample bone and body for a young one. Benevolent expression with the darkest of eyes. Teeth are of good size with correct bite. Moved very well for a puppy. Should do well.
Puppy Bitch (5-0)
1 st Nagrecha`s Chandlimore Bag Of Tricks.
My type of smooth puppy. For me she has the wow factor, growing nice and steady. Good width and well rounded skull with abrupt stop, correct bite with good sized teeth, chunky bone and tight feet. Wide chest and just the right amount of rear angulation. Moved like a little dream. No bag of tricks there. B.P.B.& B.P.I.S.
2 nd Gwilliam`s Coatham Smooth Actress.
3 rd Lawson & Hunter`s Broadheath Iseeya Lookin At Droolakiss.
Different type to1 & 2 with an attractive head. She has adequate bone, a little bum high at the moment. Needs to strengthen on the back end, but she has time on her side.
Junior Bitch (12-1)
A strong class with a mixture of types but a lot of positive qualities.
1 st Lane`s Lanebern Leading Lady.
Feminine girl with a correct flat coat. Strong head for a young one, with a dark , clean eye, defined stop,correct bite. Sufficient bone and good angulation. Nice steady mover.
2 nd McLaughlan & Fitzsimmons Lanleadane Lady Of Astolat.
Attractive dark faced girl. Another one with a strong head. Nice front and rear, ample spring of rib withcorrect depth of body. Just lost out on movement on the day, but I am sure they will change places many times.
3 rd Clarke`s Abbersian Elusive Dream.
Yet another nice girl. A little long in muzzle at the moment, but I am sure when her head matures this won`t be the case. She has a good profile with level topline, adequate bone. Moved well.
Novice Bitch (4-1)
1 st Gwilliam`s Coatham Smooth Actress.
2 nd Plunkett`s Davbarr Mystic Princess For Mawreddog.
At 11 months old she still has some way to go. Eyes a little light but healthy, head maturing steady,reasonable body for a youngster. Moved o.k.
3 rd Myall`s Snowfordhill Luly May.
A different type to 1 & 2. Good sized bitch, eyes a little glaring. She has adequate bone, square at the rear,movement somewhat erratic.
Post Graduate Bitch. (5-4)
1 st Hau & Hyde`s Wardana Christmas Spirit At Lakariby.
Correct bite, broad muzzle, level topline, good spring of rib. A bit slight in bone. Correct shoulderplacement, stands four square, moved o.k.
Special Post Graduate Smooth Bitch (3-0)
1 st Gwilliams Coatham Smooth Actress.
2 nd Muggleton`s Bernmont Olivia.
A big girl with a broken mantle. Strong head and muzzle, stands square, holds her topline well. Didn`t quite match the movement of 1.
3 rd Bannister`s Olivebranch Cupid Candie At Banndean.
An attractive 2 year old with a nice head, adequate body, not the bone of 1 & 2. Needs to strengthen on the move.
Limit Bitch (6-2)
1 st Nagrecha`s Carashon Mystique With Chandlimore.
This is also one that I would be happy to take home. She has good width of skull and muzzle, beautiful dark healthy eyes, strong neck and back, ample bone, tight feet. Stands a little short, but four square. A lovely rich colour which reflected on her good condition as she shone. When on the move she goes with reach and drive. B.B. & R.B.I.S.
2 nd Cowie`s Shambrabern Keltic Shadow.
Taller than 1. A stocky girl with a strong head, short muzzle, correct ear set. She has a deep chest, square rear, deep body with good bone and feet. Strides out well and steady. Just didn`t match 1 on the day. R.B.B.
3 rd Pack`s Eisenmann Sister Act.
Different make and shape to 1 & 2. Lighter in bone and narrower in body, but never the less, still a nice bitch. Moved o.k.
Open Bitch (2-0)
1 st Bannister`s Shadow Dancer.
She has lovely dark eyes with a feminine head and deep stop. Good topline and enough bone, deep chest, good angulation. Moved o.k.
2 nd Deucher Fawcett & Swaine-Williams Barandi Sh. Boom.
Good head on strong shoulders. Different type to 1. Nice dark eye with soft expression, decent spring of rib with deep body. Lighter in bone than 1. Moved o.k.
Special Open Smooth Bitch (2-1)
1 st Muggleton`s Bernmont Olivia.
